Numb

So I got some texts from my exbf;

ex;I'm not going to Africa (clinic)
me;why
ex; It's possible but I have to wait for a year
me;so... if you really want to stop, you can do it at home
ex; NO, It's not possible
me;why not?
ex;never mind
me; If you are serious about wanting to quit there are a lot of people that are willing to help you, so I don't see a problem. But if you are not serious about quitting then don't start. It's your choice, your life.
ex;I'm tired!
me; stop with your selfpity, it doesn't work. If you want to die go.
ex; YES!
me; well go then, nobody is stopping you. if you want to live than there's no excuse not to start here and right now. There is no excuse to keep drinking even not your past. So if you want to stop call the man from AA. BYE

Is it normal to feel so numb and being hard all of a sudden?

It was for me. When I finally just turned it all over to God and realized there is not one single thing I could do, I became numb to it.
