Not changing anything for a year

So I have been told this for my own recovery and I am sure he is being told the same thing for his. Changes are happening whether we like it or not. We have to move out of this house. We have been fighting with our bank for something like 4 years now to get a mod on our mortgage, and for another year with the assistance of a lawyer. This house has caused us both so much stress and pain, we decided before he went to treatment that we are going to let it go.

So we are going to have to move. I don't know when and I will do a happy dance when we do it. At this stage of the game, there is going to be no income from him for the forseeable future, at least October. His current job situation is not too great if he really wants to work on his recovery. Having to be at work at 7 and not getting off until 6-not a lot of time for individual therapy, meetings, etc. So yeah, if we go rent a place right now there is a real risk we wont be able to pay the rent. We have no savings. Thanks beer!

The real biggie ( and GOD I hope it doesn't come to this) there is a very minute chance I could be pregnant. That would destroy his recovery. Babies don't fix things, they only add more stress. I HOPE it does not come down to that. If I were, I would absolutely not have an abortion.

TerpGal,

You are future tripping on what ifs and maybes.

Chill. Jumping from issue to issue solves nothing.

You said you decided before to move. Fine. Do that.

The money thing will work itself out.

The other issue, you say there is a minute chance.

Why not get a ten dollar test and know for sure?

As others have said. Future tripping will often be way worse than reality.
