It's final...i am divorced!!!

Today my mom called me, she is an HR manager for a company. She was looking on our states database of court proceedings at one of their employment candidates. She looked up my name just to see if any progress was being made on my divorce case. I don't even have papers yet, but the web site is updated immediately. My divorce was final as of yesterday!!!

I am a free woman! I just look at my own mental health and want to jump for joy. I am a much happier person. We have had our ups and downs and because we share kids we will have forever. That's ok. I am out of the business of taking care of him!!!!!

It's a happy day!!! Thanks to everyone who supported me so I could get myself to where I needed to be to make this wise decision!

High five. So glad all that stress and work has been worth it. I know how you agonized over this, and that you put tremendous thought and energy into making sure your precious daughters are protected. Glad for this outcome.

Thank you everyone! Resigned....I am going with my girlfriends to a wine tasting on the river! They sent me this decorated wine glass full of candy to work today! Good friends and will have good times!!!!

I CANNOT help but LOL at the irony of celebrating the finalization of your divorce from an alcoholic by attending a wine tasting. I know it's completely unplanned & the timing just happened to synchronize like that, but seriously, that's HILARIOUS.
