My BFF for more than 20 yrs texted me yesterday that her mom is drinking again and had a panic attack that sent her to the hospital. They found a lesion on her liver. I had no idea up until a few yrs ago that she was an alcoholic.

I don't think she has ever been to Alanon but I invited her to come with me when she's ready. I told her she needs to focus on herself and have a good time on vacation anyways. She's very angry right now and I don't blame her one bit.

I feel bad for her girls. They love their grandmother. Now they won't be able to be alone with her anymore...again.

I wish we didn't have to deal with this.
