True story, though I got it secondhand...

This afternoon, an acquaintance of mine who is struggling with some codependency issues prepared an e-mail to send to her therapist. In it she berated and bedeviled the offender in her life at some length. Then she accidentally sent the e-mail, not to therapist, but to the offender. The poor thing became completely unglued over her mistake because "his ego is so fragile". Alert Freud.

She should just deny it and make him feel crazy for thinking that she would do such a thing. And then she should have an alibi ready.

Then she should say that it's a set up. Anyone could have used her email address. Then she should tell him how much she loves him and how she would never do anything like that.

Then she should get mad because he doesn't trust her and tell him, if he doesn't trust her then she might as well go out and do it anyway.

Then she should march right over to the fridge and open a beer and tell him it's all his fault that she is drinking.

Then she should leave and not come home until the next morning. She should then throw things around and not speak to him until he wants to make up and say he's sorry.

Sound like a plan to me.....I call it Gas Lighting from the movie years ago with Ingrid Bergman....anyone recall this movie? Her husband made her crazy by making her think she was loosing her mind. <img border="0" alt="[Jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/../graemlins/ukliam2.gif" /> In other words telling someone that you TOLD them something you did not and convince them that you did.
I am guilty : ) of doing that to the A...it is a survival method with his dastardly personality at this point in time.

Heck, why stop at one beer? She should break open a 12-pack (or at least two or three 40 ouncers), drink every last one and then pass out and wet the bed AND then tell him that it was his fault and that he should wash the sheets/blankets and then wait him out to make the bed again - even if it takes days... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
