Want to try something really awkward?

I was watching intervention on LMN last night, just because it was on. The episode happened to be about a guy who was an alcoholic who also had a toddler. You know, the kind of show where you get to see how it effects the wife, child, family and how he acts at his worse? up close and personal.

I was watching it in the bedroom and ABF came in to go to bed. He was drunk as usual.....

He didn't want to seem uncomfortable but he was, he asked if I would change it and I just kept telling him it was almost over. He was drunk enough that he'd forget that I had told him that ten minutes ago lol. I could tell he didn't want to watch it, it was too close to home though. I kept it on.

He put his hat over his head and went to sleep....

I just thought I'd share that awkward moment.

I kind of hate these shows, but honest to god, Intervention and Dr Drew's Celebrity Rehab (for real) really helped me process the AA message, the recovery process and what it looks like, maladaptive behavior in action, and how to address and deal with addiction and/or general mental illness face to face.

If he doesn't want to watch them, well. Poor thing.
