could my situation actually get any worse?
I had a wreck friday afternoon after leaving work, and totaled my car. My chest is badly bruised and I feel like I've been run over by a diesel. It was my fault, I couldn't stop in time.

This whole weekend has been a big haze. Thankfully my daughter was not in the car with me.

Still no word from my A, his mother wanted to get in touch with him to tell him what had happened, and she still does, but FOR WHAT? Is he going to perform a miracle and come home and give me emotional support? Be there for me? Take care of me and everything all of the sudden? NO, he wont. So I dont see the point in that.

It really hurts though. I wont lie about that.

One day at a time, I will see what happens. But for today I am glad I am alive.

I am so glad you were basically unhurt! I bet it scared you down to your core. I was in a bad accident in college and I stopped eating for two weeks! I just couldn't swallow anything. I am sorry that your A is not there for you. I can feel your pain about that. But it is great to be alive, isn't it? We all need you and your friendship. You have been a big help to me over the past months. Take good care, God wants you to stay around for awhile!!!

How awful!

I just bet that it is uphill from here! When I was alone with my son...his father was an A, I was estranged from my mother (because of my step father) and I got Real Real sick...105 fever...having weird dreams and the whole thing. I turned to my friends...they picked up the Beav at preschool for me because I couldn't leave work, do the dr and the pharm...I was just too sick. I think that was my lowest and most feeling alone point up until then....but do you know what? I got through it. And so will you!

As the Beatles sang...."I'll get by with alittle help from my friends"

I am so glad yOur daughter wasn't in the car... and your weren't hurt worse. Call your insurance and get started on that. One foot in front of the other...nothing has changed about that part...

I am sooooo glad you are okay. I'll bet it shook you up emotionally too. Take a rest and be good to yourself - you deserve it.

Maybe your A isn't around to take care of you, but he isn't around to make you crazy either. Let your friends and family spoil you rotten and if they don't do enough, spoil yourself.
