OT - Blood Moon Eclipse

Who is up to observe this? Clouds have cleared in my little corner of the US and it looks like my alarm will be going off for good reason!

Gorgeous view here, but my hands are frozen from trying to photograph it.

I saw the last night and it was beautiful. What was going on? It looked different, but I did not know it was special.

We set alarms and got up to see it just before it hit the full eclipse, absolutely beautiful. I didn't think to get pics, lol. It's the first of 4 full lunar eclipses happening over the next 2 yrs I believe. If I understand right it's not the first time this cycle is happening, but it's not exactly an annual event either.

I was up, too -- it was beautiful and majestic.

Of all the things I have read about beliefs tied to what the blood moon means, what I liked the best was the idea that it signals the beginning of a new era.

A lot of us here could use that.
