wish me luck.
wish me luck.
Tomorrow I'm talking with my boss about leaving. Feeling good about it but could use some words of wisdom and support. I've been meditating and reading my books on communication. All I can do is say my piece. Her reaction belongs to her.
Thanks, all!
Thanks, all!
Readerbaby, if you are as articulate in the spoken word as you are in the written form then I'm sure you will have no problem telling your boss what it is you wish to convey to her. I'm sure it will be honest and forth-rite.
Good luck and let us know how it went!

Thanks so much! It makes me feel good to hear that because I'm leaving my job to try to make my freelance writing into a full-time business.

Do I sense guilt?
It's your life...neither that boss nor that job OWNS you.
So don't apologize for quitting, you're making a life choice, and who's life is it anyway?!!!
You gave, you received. There are no outstanding debts in this work relationship.

HI
Good luck. Whatever happens, you will be fine. You had a long thread about possible fallout before, so I know you are prepared. Any personal items you have at work that you want to keep and will take with you when you leave, you might want to corral them just in case you need to make a hasty exit. I always prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
I bet it will be anti-climactic. But, if its not, then you will have a great story to tell in the future.
Good Luck!

Good luck, readerbaby! You can do this!! Just remember, you are not responsible for her reaction. You are only responsible for doing the job you were hired for, and for giving her sufficient notice in a respectful manner. How she reacts has nothing to do with you.
Congratulations, you're almost there

Good luck, RB! Remember, "we will intuitively know how to handle situations that used to baffle us." You'll do great, both tomorrow and in the future.
