OT - The awesomeness of nature
OT - The awesomeness of nature
It's time once again for me to express my gratitude for the beauty of nature and the gift I have been given (or obsession, if you will) in the desire to capture and share it. Yesterday, I was on my way to (hopefully) shoot an amazing sunset. The weather didn't cooperate with my plan and the sunset was dark and gloomy rather than colorful and glorious as I had hoped. But, on the way to my chosen spot to set up my tripod and photograph the sunset, I was shocked and amazed to see a white deer. Legends abound about white deer and their spiritual significance. My native american friend tells me that the Great Spirit was speaking to me.
Girl----you are talented beyond words. Your photos take my breath away.
You SHOULD be making a lot of money, also..........and, I know that love of beauty is your first motivation........I'm just saying..........

Thank you all for the kind words and praise.
Danylion--It would be nice to make a lot of money, but I've found that when someone buys one of my photographs it is just an added bonus. The real satisfaction comes from "getting the shot."
BTW, I don't post much here anymore, but if anyone would like to see new photos as I post them, send me a PM and I will send you the link to my facebook photography page.

I saw her again today! And, unbelievably, she was standing in a spot where I could get a shot of her with Mount Shasta behind. OMG! It was an epic photo day! I can't stop grinning!

It's going to have to wait until tomorrow. I had a long day and just got the photos uploaded. Now I have to go through and find the best one(s) out of a couple hundred I shot. It's too easy to get carried away with the continuous shutter release. Plus, I'm much better at doing the tech stuff in the mornings when I'm alert.

Beautiful! We have some albino deer on our base here and I see them almost every day. Hubs has yet to get a picture of them. As a Southerner, I am always in awe of the raw beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I don't think I will ever leave here. The mountains and the coast here have captured my heart. I'm spoiled living on Whidbey Island, though. Beauty everywhere you turn, here.
