Step One reading recommendations

I'm leading my first alanon meeting next week, and the topic is Step One. Anyone got any faves to recommend? We work mainly out of ODAT and Courage to Change, but any conference-approved lit will do.
Also, any pointers for a first-timer? I know its silly to be nervous but I am anyway!

I love Courage to Change pg 74. It is the one about the pigeons doing what they do.

It is a well read page for me.

AA Big Book, it turns out.

Not generally considered CAL (Conference Approved Literature) but then again Alanon gets no cut of it. [Yes, I am a BIG Alanon Fan, and Yes I really said and meant that -- Alanon considers the literature a Self-Funding Operation Source. I do not concur with that. ]

Some Alanon groups have done Group Conscience to include the AA Big Book as part of their own source literature.

AA Big Book is where my ALANON Step Sponsor is starting me out.

But as far as a Straight Up Alanon Steps Meeting . . . . why not Alanon 12 & 12?

Had a Step One meeting last night. The chair read out of the Paths to Recovery book.
