What makes me happy is that I have my log cabin. The logs extend past the house, plenty of room for birds nest. I love to watch the robins taking care of their babies. I love to watch the little ones take off. I love it that I have a deer path going thru my property and that I know what time the deer leave and come back, and that I can just sit on my deck and watch them.

I love....
  • my three dogs
  • my nieces & nephews, their innocence & smiles are the best
  • reading a good book...the harder to put down the better!
  • jigsaw puzzles - there's one on my table now & three new ones just waiting for me
  • the feeling I get when I finish a big project, a to do list, or a deep clean
  • skiing
  • the Beatles...my fav has always been George
  • sleep, especially an afternoon nap
  • window shopping
  • The Voice
  • I love any criminal/investigation shows...so agree with Cold Case Files as I'm a Bill Kurtis fan, hearing his voice brings a smile to my face
  • reading a trashy magazine
  • exploring a new place I've never been before

I love my cats. The unconditional love they offer warms my heart.

I love laughing and playing with my 7 nieces and nephews. All great kids!

I love it when my orchids flower.

I love crawling into my bed at the end of a long say and falling peacefully asleep.

And I love the sense of comfort and community I find here at SR.

Love to you all!

Nice! I live in Pittsburgh but my mom lives in a rural area of western PA and it is so beautiful. I am ready for winter to be over.

I love my two budgies (and isn't it interesting how many of us mention our pets first?)
I love when I freeze on a winter day and then come inside and feel the warmth and smell the cookies.
I love to plan my business expenses and figure out tax deductions (yes it is almost that time of the year).
I love Disney Channel, Good Luck Charlie and The A.N.T. Farm.
I love planting flowers and taking care of them.
I love scented candles.
And did somebody say "window shopping"? Oh, I love that. Do not have to buy a thing, but the process of browsing makes me so relaxed. It works every single time.

When I'm alone in the car and a great song comes on the radio and I sing out LOUD. (especially you when have a voice like mime that makes dogs howl!)

Love doing that myself and have even had the courage to karaoke a tune here and there just to crack people up at how bad I sing...although I never quite know who I crack up more, myself or them. I just know it feels good to laugh hard. Ofcourse my favorite is "Sing a Song" ala the Carpentars...I massacre that one with glee!

Lol I do this every other song. So far DD1 doesn't mind but I'm waiting for the day when she tells me to pipe down.

Every time I log on and see this thread my brain sings...

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings.......

Are you singing it now...are you...are you ??

My farmhouse. With the white picket fence. And happy, sane wife. And happy kids.

It does not exist.

But it makes me happy.

Interesting...When I read Hammer's farmhouse happy dream I thought ohh yeah my dream happy is a little log cabin deep in the woods with lots of animals around and my grown happily married sons dropping off my grandbabies for a week of fun with granny in the woods....My AH isn't in that dream happy...hmmmm lol (and my laughing isn't because I don't love him and hope our marriage works out, it's because I allowed myself to just dream for a minute and then I analyzed the heck out of it rather than just enjoying it).

You know, he's not in mine, either....

Comfortable with money from writing. A house large enough to have family and friends stay. A pool, for health, because swimming might be the only exercise I can do that doesn't leave me in agony...
Enough money to help my relatives who need help. My mom. Maybe one day my dad if he ever needs it. Send my sister to school.
All kinds of fruit and vegetable and herbs growing in my yard.
And dogs, dogs, dogs. Happy, spoiled dogs. Soon enough that my dog can live it, too...
Maybe adopting some kids one day if my health permits.
Peace.
