Christmas in prison
I had a long conversation last night with my son who is currently back in prison. They had a special minister from outside come in and do a extended service. My son said it was amazing and he never heard anything like it. Also, they received a special Christmas dinner. They ate real ham, baked potato and chocolate truffle cakes. Some of the men in there had not eaten a real meal in many years. I am happy the prison did this and am hoping my son will gain some good experience and learn to live right in there this time around. Happy Holidays to everyone!!
That's really nice to hear. One of my uncles (mom's brother) did five years in San Quentin for drug and weapon charges- he was high on cocaine and shot out the windows of his neighbors' houses, thankfully no one was harmed. I know holidays were always hard for him when he was incarcerated. Glad your son had a Merry Christmas and I hope you did too, I know you've had a tough time with the holidays. Glad to hear from you.
