Thank you so much for writing this update!
I went back and looked at your old posts, and the way you talk about him has changed so much. Before you said he treated you like a queen, with love and respect. Now you say he mentally and emotionally crushed you. I can really relate to all of this, as I'm sure many can. A recovering alcoholic friend once commented to me that alcoholics are really good at being nice to other people in order to get others to put up with them. But underneath the superficial niceness, there's selfishness, emotional emptiness and addiction. Your posts capture that duality.
It's awesome to hear you're doing so well, and doing well isn't dependent on being in a new relationship. Seriously, you sound great. Thank you.
