Theme songs?

I love music and every once in a while there is a song that I can completely relate to. It's like every word rings true and expresses what I would express if I could write a song! In regard to what I was going through with XABF, I heard the song "Mean" by Taylor Swift and bam that was my theme song! Classic rock is my preferred genre but the lyrics are dead on how I felt about XABF! Anyone else have a theme song to share and find music a therapeutic outłet?

I have soo many right now that ring true to my emotional rollercoaster i've been on throughout the recent break up with my AXBF. In no particular order here goes:
1. Human-The Pretenders
2. Bent out of shape- The Replacements
3. If love were a gun- The Divinyls
4. Unsatisfied- The Replacements
5. Pale Shelter- Tears For Fears

There are many more but I'm not gonna sit here & type all of them out lol you get my point with the ones ^ above #3 especially always brings tears to my eyes...

running up that hill by Kate Bush.

If it were us with this disease after what we experienced on our end, we'd be running up that hill no problem… get it done.

Thanks for sharing Raider and Gothbarbie. One that brings me to tears is "I've been there that's why I'm here" by Kenny Chesney. Some songs give me strength and empower me and those are the best. Raider that is why I liked your choice! Others may be dark and edgy but help me feel my feelings and let them out! Goth you had some great ones too! I love TFF Pale Shelter! We all have our ways of coping. Music is my therapy sometimes. Just felt like sharing that and thanks for giving me some new music to try! Peace

Bird13 thanks for your post. I wish it were that simple and that they could feel what we are feeling but sadly all they can feel is the craving I think. I'm not in the As shoes so its hard for me to understand what it's like for them. I'm sure they go through their own hell in a different way. Possibly even worse? It's terrible to be on either end. Thanks for sharing, I'm going to listen to it now

Army Of Me by Björk is a great song that I have not listened to in a while, but kind of sums up my current feelings towards my AH lol:

BJORK LYRICS - Army Of Me

I'm a big music lover. I'll think of others. I should be in bed but I haven't slept well in forever due to stress and p physical pain...too tired to think of others right now!

To post a link, look at the top bar of the box where you are typing your text for a post. Click on the picture of the earth with the paperclip in front of it. Something well pop up asking you to post the addresses of your link. Paste or type your link address there, then select "ok".

Firesprite, thank you for posting that! I was looking for a thread like that but couldn't find one. I wonder if your link could be a sticky like the one for movies and books? I was glad to see the movie " The Lost Weekend" made the movie list! Thanks again for showing me the music thread!
