mountainbob, thank you for your post. Yeah, I think people do not really understand the whole locked up environment.

your son's situation is not an indicator of you as a mother or person. not sure if you are struggling with feeling responsible for him, but you are not as he is a grown man. he makes the choices to use or do bad things. that is not on you at all. you are obviously a loving mother towards him and he is mighty lucky to have you.

You've spoken before about your daughter who is successful (an ER nurse, i believe) and happy. You're a good, caring mother. So sorry to hear you're struggling. I pray that you find the support and comfort you need, whether at FA or through another source. Big hugs. Take care of yourself and thanks for posting.
