So I told STBXAF to beat it.

I left to go to my last riding lesson of the year (hey, $20 a week and it keeps me sane. And I get to ride a made jumper instead of my green horse. Total win.) and when I came back, he had cleaned the house top to bottom. It sparkled. He made elk steak for dinner and I couldn't see that a thing was packed.

I was quiet, calm, observant, and thought...hmm. I'll play along and see where this is going. I had a hunch and damned if I don't hate when I call it correctly..

Bedtime, and he snuggles up, and says,

"I'll just quit going to the bar so much, k?

in a tone that implies "this will soothe the beast and make her happy and get her to shut up about it".

You blow me off for two years, and the only reason you decided to give a rats fart now is because I told you to pack your shi-stuff and GTFO....and you think just THAT is going to cut it? (Yes, I allowed it, but one failure does not excuse another. I'm fixing mine now)

Prior obligations prevented any discussion yesterday, but he's about to have a rude awakening when he comes in from hunting.
