What do you call a guy who brings himself to the brink of death, who is rescued by parents that slowly ween him off of alcohol, who's lost about 20 pounds, didn't see his son, his "girlfriend", and many others for about three weeks, says he's not an addict anymore, says he's just not going to drink again, takes a sip of a beer and says he poured the rest out because his "girlfriend" asked him not to drink it? And isn't in any kind of program, whatsoever? SCARY!!!
And I'm so glad I was able to tell him how effin' scary it is for me to know that he actually purchased that thing he said he knew he should never do! I don't know what my saying it to him will do for him, but it sets me free Wanna know why I don't know if I'm coming over tomorrow? Because I don't feel like getting attached to you and repeating this cycle one minute longer! Because it totally messes with my attraction to you! Because you are doing the opposite of what you said and that is called LYING! And it's sooooo getting OLD! Like, Ancient PYRAMIDS old! Jurassic Era old! So very OLD! And I'm protecting myself because I'm the only one who can. And because instead of "I love him," I think "I'm better off without him."

Yes, if an addict is anything I can say they are sneaky little devils. Good for you to see that this is not a healthy cycle and that you need to remove yourself from it. It is the best thing you could ever do for yourself.
