Double winners...question for you I am a double winner. I've been sober for 10 months, attending AA meetings for a little over a month. DH still drinks and I've been attending Al-anon for about 2.5 months. My question is this: which meetings help you more, AA or Alanon? I continue to attend both...one alanon meeting on Monday nights, an AA meeting Wednesday morning and another AA meeting on Saturday nights. But I think Alanon is more helpful, and I like it better. I know I need to focus on my sobriety first and foremost, but it seems like most of the issues in my life are focused on my AH. So what do you get out of each meeting? |
It,s better to focus on you and your sobriety rather than the main focus being on your DH. When we learn to put the focus on us first it,s very empowering.

So what do you get out of each meeting? From Alanon, I get the life on life's terms from the codependent recovery perspective. Same 12 steps, different perspectives..... Best of everything to you...... |
