Struggling again, need hugs
Hi SR friends
I'm struggling today.
All the court proceedings are going ahead, I have appointments with my childs lawyer & they will have to go & meet their lawyer soon & discuss everything. I have received information regarding my court costs & where I live they can grant you help with legal fees but you do have to pay it back. My estimate is between $1690 & 109,000. I have to put legal holdings against my house & land in case of debt.
I have already been struggling financially as have stopped receiving any child support from the father & looking at legal costs on top is not a nice place to be.
I have managed up until now to remain quite strong, have faith & believe in myself but lastnight & today I am feeling stressed.
All I want is to get on with my life & be left alone to raise my kids, which up until now I have done a really good job of it.
I just don't know if I have the strength & stamina to go through this process.
I guess I'll just have to.
I am eating healthy, exercising & getting plenty of rest.

I haven't received child support for 8 months from my exH. It's very stressful. So I understand your fears and frustrations.
I am glad you are still taking care of yourself. Make sure you keep that oxygen mask on securely, so you can keep helping your kids with theirs.

It will all be ok in the end, regardless of the outcome. And facts are on your side, don't forget that.
Curious - him not paying child support can't look good either! Is that the whole point...to reduce payments? I see that happen a lot in my state, and in most cases, don't think the Father really wants more custody hours; just wants less child support payments each month. Sad.

You can do this.......really, you are already doing this. I can sense the strength that is there because you are doing all the things you should. You are not burying your head in the sand but rather you are pushing ahead with the mindfulness that you need to take care of yourself physically and reach out when you need an emotional boost.
