I'm off to the hospital this morning as my niece (almost 6 months) is having surgery today in hopes of improving her heart function enough to enable her to eventually have the repair she needs for her heart defect. She's been a tough little fighter since before she was born and we hope & pray that will continue today. Please keep us in your prayers today. Thank you!

Please check your knee-mail today, hear the prayers for this small soul, comfort her family as they wait for word of the surgery, guide the hands of the surgeon to keep them steady and true, send strength and love to that little girl and let her know you are there with her.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers! Her surgery went well, and the doctors noted a slight improvement in her heart function when they performed their post-op echo; the hope is that it will continue to improve. It is one more step along her long & bumpy road but she continues to amaze us! We are so grateful for the wonderful doctors, nurses, and friends that continue to support us all.



Chicory - we attended mass just after they took her for surgery, and the sermon today was about how each of us have a guardian angel; such an appropriate thing for her family to hear today.
