Men's Meeting Last night.

Just cannot believe I was too scared to go for years.

I laugh more there in a hour, than I do all day at work, and I spend a big part of my work day joking and laughing.

I sat with a buddy from my Men's Step Study. A gay guy I could have NEVER guessed was gay. Thought he was a fireman or something when we met, flat top, etc. Not talking "Village People," just Go To Work look.

But he and his ABF have an adopted kid, so we sit and chat about raising kids.

Went next door and visited with Meth Beth, too.

Would have barely recognized her if I were not looking for her. Trimmed out in business clothes, she is doing bookkeeping / accounting in the Real World. Her old job from before A times.

She is also doing the accounting / books for the AA group. Big Group, too.

God does some Mighty Fine Work. Praise Him.

Neither of us could say much, just could smile and cry while I was hugging her.

Awesome update Hammer!

That's really cool to hear Meth Beth is doing so well! Good for her. It is amazing after the fact to know we are scared going in. I think back to walking into my first CR meeting and it makes me laugh bc I almost left. I had to physically be led back in LOL.
