Husband sitting in jail on DWI. His job depends on a clean driving record. We live where he works. We are broke as far as moving goes. No where else to stay. I could really use some prayers and good will. Please. We could lose everything. I love my husband and I'm scared. I'm so scared. Please give us a miracle. Oh God.

I am so sorry for your troubles and pain. Try to remember that you are loved and in your higher power's care. I know anxiety and fear make me lose my serenity. I lose my center. But you are not lost. We are right there with you. You didn't choose this turn of events and can't control what will happen regarding this DWI.

You can keep the focus on you. Take good care of yourself. You are strong. Just keep breathing and I'll be praying for you.

Remember that these things generally work out the way they are supposed to. IF he loses this job, it is a consequence of HIS actions. For most alcoholics NOT getting a DUI is a matter of dumb luck. That's all it was for me--I certainly deserved to get one.

Don't be surprised if he blames the police, the court system, or even you for this predicament.
