Addictive Thinking
Addictive Thinking
Has anybody here read "Addictive Thinking" by Abraham Twerski, M.D. ?
I'm only half way through the third chapter (and I cheated and read the part about codependents first). I have already inhaled sharply 4 or 5 times. I love this book. He talks about "addictologia", the distorted logic that addicts and codependents indulge in. I seeeeee meeeeee!!!!! And he uses fabulous chapter titles such as "Flavors and colors of reality". This book addresses the question "HOW CAN HE THINK THAT WAY???"

Dagnabit! My library budget is already overrun. Now I'm going have to go buy this book too.
I'm just a little concerned though ... do I really want to understand the mind of the addict? It sounds like a verweee, verwee, scarwee place.
