In the hospital...
I have been in the hospital for almost a week. I have an infection related to my cancer and I cannot be discharged until it is clear...this could be weeks...
My separated AH has daughter right now that Im in hospital. He brings her to see me daily. However today when he came, we talked like we used to, he looked so handsome...it made me miss him. Being in the hospital makes you lonely I think!
Dont get me wrong, I know he is still an alcoholic, not in recovery, probably seeing the other woman still...but I still mourn him. As they left today, I wept. I miss my husband. I miss my family. I need to move on...its not coming back! But lying here in this hospital bed is so depressing! I needed to take to the forum to help build me up...

We are here for you. Will keep you in my thoughts tonight and check back on you soon. I am glad you are able to get on SR while in the hospital.
I hope there are people you can call and have them visit.

I just found out this week that my sponsor has been diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. Our home group meeting was tonight, and we were all talking about how we could best help out so she feels supported.
Wish we could do that for you--but you are in our thoughts and prayers. I'm glad, too, that you are able to post and read from the hospital. Think of us all sitting in your room, cheering you on and cheering you up. We're here any time you need us, with a virtual hug.

I'm here too, will have you front and center in my thoughts, prayers, and good wishes. I am very glad that your daughter is getting to visit you daily; that must mean so much to you.
If you get Netflix - under $10/month - and the hospital internet system supports it, you can stream funny movies onto your computer. They say laughter is good for your health! If you can get it, let us know, and we'll post our favorite funny movies for you.

if you have free wi-fi at the hospital - search those carol burnett tv show on you tube and watch her - how can you not laugh watch those shows?

Take care of yourself and get stronger! It's nice to hear your daughter gets to visit you in the hospital everyday. Count your blessings. Don't be fooled by your separated AH being nice. If he has not recovered then nothing has changed. Remember the bad times he put you through too. You deserve a partner who 100% there, treasures you and supports you. You are in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

I am doing ok this morning. Yesterday was a long lonely day. People who normally would visit me were busy due to Fathers Day. I did my best to keep busy and still am...but Id be lying if I said separated AH wasnt present in my mind.

You are going through so much right now. Are there other people you can lean on and get support from besides him? I would lean on them moreso than him if at all possible.
Yes to movies, and someone to smuggle in some tasty treats, your favorite blanket, your own pillow if they allow this stuff, and some good books!
