smoke gets in my eyes

I am reading an extremely interesting book by Martha Horton called "the seashell people: growing up in adulthood". Seashell people is her term for folks who got stuck emotionally in their childhood or teenage years, due to some troublesome or traumatic event(s). I picked it up thinking it would explain Dino, and it may, but it seems to have enormous relevance to codpendency as well. It's on my thumbs up reading list!
