Alanon phone meeting

Has anyone here had a phone meeting?

There are two later this evening, one at 8:00pm and 10:00 pm.

After reading the instructions, it seems simple enough, but I wonder if anyone here does this regularly or ever.

Tonight is the 5th tradition I think.

Any experience, strength and help welcome.

Beth

Wicked, I have not had a phone Alanon meeting, but I went to the Alanon phone meeting site and checked out the instructions. It sounds a lot like what we did at the place I used to work when we had telephone meetings, which was pretty straightforward and worked fine (you really do want to make sure to mute, tho, when you're not talking).

I did notice that the site I landed on showed meetings at 8 and 11 PM, and that those times were Eastern time, maybe a different site from where you were?

Anyway, sorry to not have any actual experience to offer, but I'm thinking you'll likely be fine--I'll be interested to hear how it went for you.

Yes, I think I will do the next one.
It would be neat to hear from all over, if possible and different voices.
I think I have the keep mute understood.
I do not want to be the one "Hey who has their speaker on?"
Ah, I have lived through other mistakes like my last marriage.

I've done Al Anon phone meetings.. They're kind of cool. They give you instructions about which key to push to mute and unmute. Usually they run pretty seamlessly. It's definitely worth trying. Let us know how you like it!

I know a woman who lived by them daily while living with her AH because he wouldnt let her go out to meetings. She said they were very easy to do.
Let us know how it goes because it is an alternative especially for times when ppl cannot get out of the house.

I hope the link below is correct.
And no, they are all timed for Eastern time zones.

I am downloading the keypad features now.
I think the next one is at 10pm!
I can do this one.
Just be mute.

Great online meeting.
Just read the easy directions.
I wish I had my "AlAnon How it Works" right next to me for reading,
but, I did read the forum story for today.
Someone said my signal was breaking up, gotta get comcast on that right away.
Amazing stuff, I shared and felt better afterwards.
It is all very orderly and I like that.
give it a try. So many meetings.

Best to read the instructions first,
it is not difficult, but for a newbie it could be.
Asked for volunteers to read and chair the meeting?
But, I think it was different tonight for some reason.
It all worked out, and it was well done.

Yes on the online meetings.
