I'm scared and I need help.
He will ALWAYS promise to stop drinking, and chances are nothing will ever change. (no offence to those in recovery.) You can't help him, he has to help himself. You are absolutely NOT crazy. But living with an alcoholic will certainly make you feel as though you are, and they'll even try to convince you of it.
You are amazing in this day and time to have saved yourself as long as you did. I'm so proud of you! You can start over on that point if you want to. As someone earlier said, you are forgiven. When you are forgiven, you are washed white as snow. How great does that feel?!
TL, you have done the wise, safe and best thing for yourself. Be proud. Stay strong. Spend time with people who will lift you up. Never look back, even though it might be hard. If needed, seek Christian counseling to help get you through.
Hugs!
