I can totally see why you want to send that email but I'm worried you are looking for a response you probably won't get. Your FiL sounds scary and sick. I would get your son back and go to Oregon ASAP.

I think it is great that you wrote out how you feel in the letter. That helps me feel better too! But sending will not give you the response you want or need sadly.

Boundaries are for you and your child. Communication of those boundaries to those being unreasonable is not necessary, because you will only receive insanity in response.

Set strong boundaries. A "no thank" is an appropriate response. Take care of you.
