court at 9a...prayers please
It has been such a long, painful road to this day. I have so many mixed feelings and even if I win....there is no winning. I am grieving the loss of my dream of a family and real life with her....something that never stood a chance against the alcohol and mental illness.
Hugs, patty, and prayers, good thoughts, good vibes and all that.
Remember, YOU are not the one responsible for what is happening today. All you are doing is protecting yourself and your children from a sick person determined to cause you and them all this grief. SHE is the one who brought this on, not you. If she had behaved as a moderately considerate adult none of this would have come to pass.
Stand tall and be brave. You can do it!

Yay!
Now be very, very careful that you don't slide back into "maybe she can still be in the kids' lives." The dismissal hasn't changed who she is.
Were you able to get the birth certificate corrected?
