Today I saw a duck....

I saw a duck today. It was very pretty duck, I think it was a guy duck.....mallard? Anyway, he was all alone and I found that pretty odd since whenever I have seen ducks before there is always more than one duck. Well, this duck just kept quacking. And then we walk a little bit and stop and quack some more. I think he was lost and it made me extremely sad. I kept hoping that he would find his family, you know find his way home or just find his way.

Then I started thinking about how e refer to our SO's, children, etc. and how they are our ducks, always quacking. Then it him me just how lost they are and how all we want is for them to find their way home.

Today I am thankful and greatful that "my duck" isn't lost anymore and he found his way home. I pray and hope that he stays home and I hope and pray that everyone's "duck" finds their way home.

Not sure if this made any sense at all and I'm not even sure why I wrote this. I guess it makes sense to me and that's what counts

Aw Deb,
Ducks can be very cute when they aren't quacking and hissing.
And it's in my nature to want to help anything that is trying to find it's way home (Codie Alert!).
I'm glad that your "duck" isn't lost anymore.
As for everyone else's ducks...they are always in my prayers.
The real deal is that we all just want to go home.
Peace,
Gabe

((((Debbie)))))

It makes a lot of sense to me! I had a duck encounter last weekend at the park. It was a whole family of ducks - mom, dad, and several chicks. There was no fighting or quacking. They were all completely quiet, just walking around, checking things out, exploring, and enjoying each other's company. It was the most functional family outing I've seen in a long time! :LMAO

I'm so glad your duck has found his way home.

Love and hugs,
JG

That's it. I'm going to the lake this weekend.
It appears to be Codie/Duck encounter week.
Peace,
Gabe

Re: Today I saw a duck....

Makes perfect sense.

Now as to the duck you had seen... Males are the ones with the colors. females are for the most part just brown in color.
Truer then you may have realized... the duck may have been quacking to guide you away from what he doesn't want you to see. Maybe just beyond the place you were standing... the mother duck may have been sitting on her nest. The father duck trying to keep you away from that truth so he quacks away.
Quack Quack Quack... I don't want you to see the truth.
What a great observation skill you have there Debbie

That's so cool Deb.

Yesterday I was at the Goodwill store and I saw this shirt hanging on the end of the rack. I could only see the back of it but it looked like just the sort of thing Dino likes to wear. I am not currently purchasing things for Dino, but I couldn't resist picking it up. I turned it around and it had a brand name blazoned across the front. Something like "Duck Wear" and it had a big old mallard on it. I laughed out loud.

Debbie, Isn't it funny how we relate to ducks of all kinds, in all sorts of situations.

Gabe, Be sure to take a bird book with you, you never know "what" kind of duck you might see.

JoJo, I see you have your sense of humor..and that's a good thing.

Laughing out load!
