This was me too. Two small children who I protected above all else. I did everything possible to keep them in a normal routine and shield them from the truth. It's a very tough position. Gets tougher when they get a little older, stay up a little later, husband starts drinking a little earlier. I'll never forget the first time my little girl asked me, What's wrong with daddy?
