Good for you Mike! I celebrated 7 yrs cigarette free in January & I'm SO happy I finally broke that habit. Hypnosis worked for me, it was a great experience.

RAH struggles with this as much if not more than his alcohol addiction, he has quit many times in his lifetime but can't seem to stay quit.

Now if I could show the same will power against sugar! I'll see Jazzman's NY Super Fudge Chunk (drool) & raise him a pint of Phish Food, lol!

Thanks for the support everyone!

Woke up this morning and for the first time I felt pretty much back to normal. I still have the cravings but they aren't the grab me by the neck and shake me like a rat in a rat terrier's mouth kind. Pretty cool graphic, eh?

Lillamy, thanks for the willingness to PM me and tell me I am an idiot. I was actually thinking of starting a M1k3 is an idiot thread. Who knows they may make it a sticky.

Here's to a tobacco free future.

Mike my friend,

I find it more effective to be to by other people that I'm being an idiot, because they normally stop, while I myself keep beating myself up.

You are an inspiration. I hope you understand that.

Thank you.

The I am an idiot thread is what passes for humor on day 7. Much better than the stuff I didn't post on days 1 through 6.

Over in the nicotine/smoking forum I posted that what has helped is I have been playing a zombie movie in my head and the the cravings are nicotine-zombies. I went through a boat-load of ammo blasting them the 1st 6 days but I really feel like I turned a corner.

It's funny but the mental imagery really helped keep things in check.

That and all of the support from my friends here.
