Thanks everyone. My parents saw her today and they think she might be improving. I am much more calm than when I first posted. I was really going nuts there for a bit, your collective calm and rational responses are helping me to chill out.

I don't have to anything right now. I just need to make the best of every day and let God take care of AW.

Wow, this is incredibly sad. You do not have to decide your entire future in one moment. If she recovers enough to live independently, that's one future. If not, different choices will need to be made.

I truly sympathize with the terrible position you are in, and I know what it feels like to have my friends and family not understand my having compassion for my A.

I wish you peace, recovery (medical and otherwise) for your wife and yourself, and a path out of the darkness.
