Found a place to live ...................

they are fine with my dog - no fenced yard though but I can figure that out. It is another Realtor I know - good price- it is a super tiny cottage at the water - cute and totally renovated on the inside - but I dont know if my stuff will fit in it - I can get a storage unit - I went by today - I am pissing myself off being critical as the neighbor has junk in his yard I don't like and there is a weird wooden builing behind it that is junky. SUSAN - this is your opportunity for freedom- quit being picky as hell ~ Ok- I am better! Thanks for letting me vent!

better a junky wooden building in your rear view than a junkie pooping on your wooden floor, right?

Congrats! Sounds like a terrific place for you and your son!

Pelican- that is so true- I need to just concentrate on the goal here and my happiness. I can always close the blinds and rejoice in my peaceful happy home with no yelling and that does not stink like rank alcohol breath! I will have my son and my dog and my sanity with me -that is all that matters!

Way to go. This new place is a great metaphor for you and your life. It's not perfect, it has some flaws but they can be fixed and solved.

Sounds like a great starting place to rebuild YOU and find peace!!

Good point, Pelican!

So Susie, does it "feel" right?

I looked at a whirlwind 12 homes in 3 days, and the last one was the one I bought. I wasn't interested when my realtor initially pointed it out, then the sellers dropped the price drastically, I went to look because of that, and it was perfect! I "knew" it as soon as I walked in the front door. And I am glad I listened to my intuition; my little family is very happy here.

Tuffgirl- I am a Realtor and it is funny how many people say when they walk in - this is it! Super happy for you too!

Hey Susie, on the subject of fencing, back when I was engaged, and had my first greyhound and my retriever mix, we went to Tractor Supply (don't know what you have in your area) and bought a roll of what is considered horse fencing. It's flexible, yet sturdy, I think 1" x 3", bought t-posts and wire brackets. Did a big back yard for around $100 and still had fencing left over.

The fiance is long gone now, and precious Bart (formerly Bet-On-Bart) left this earth many years ago, but my love of greyhounds still remains and so does the fencing!

My old man Randy is 12 1/2 now and the love of my life. Give your needle-nose boy hugs from me, okay?!
