Am I OK?
Someone asked today if I was OK. I replied yes!
She asked if the divorce had gone through. And I was taken back for a minute before responding that YES it had last year.
She then said I knew it was tough on you last year... I didn't know.
I told her that I didn't tell people.
She said, " Just so you are OK, that is all that matters."
I replied, " I am OK, and that matters today"
I realized for "moment" that what I went through in the past 7 years - did not cross my mind until now. I can say that I did not believe that day would come in the beginning of my journey to wellness.
I share this little bit of a convo just to let others know that our troubles do fade into the past if you just take one day at a time and put one foot in front of the other toward a new day.
