Alcoholic Tremors Question

While I know that tremors are a sign of immediate withdrawal, can the shakes continue into sobriety if a person isn't drinking?

For several weeks, yes, this is possible. I personally never experienced it beyond 11 days.

It is possible that he has permanent nerve damage from drinking which is causing this.
Only a Dr. can say for sure.
