A person who does that--I think he wanted to get caught and locked up? why else would someone? I think he realized he needs help and didn't know how to go about getting it? Or I am bad at psychology, the other possibility.
If this wasn't so sad it would be funny--I hope you aren't upset by me saying that. Now I am having fantasies of stealing a fire truck...but I'd never act on one!
Oh please tell me we can laugh in here sometimes....
I'm glad you are safe, and in your own home. Ahhh...that must feel good after the last few days. Get your favorite blanket and some tea

outonalimb, this sort of thing has happened before and will happen again. He probably has a mix of substance abuse & mental illness that led him to steal a firetruck. I just read that a mentally ill person stole a police car in a hospital parking lot. It sounds as if the law enforcement folks acted in a professional manner which is good.
Dear Outonalimb...
THANK YOU JESUS FOR HIS ARREST. I was thinking about you and praying for you, my sweet sister...and I'm breathing a sigh of relief that he was captured.
Get a good night's sleep and BREATHE...
I'm very happy to have read this news.
