Mom is dying; sister drunk

My mom has terminal cancer, and we're in the last weeks. It's a very sad time for our family. ASis has decided to go on a binge and has been drinking heavily for several weeks now; in one incident she showed up at my parents' house drunk, and my dad sent her home so my mom would not see her in that state. Mom thinks ASis is staying sober, and I'm happy to let her think that--what good would it do for my mom to know the truth now? Just feeling so sad and spent. Thanks for your support.

I am sorry to hear about your mother's condition.

I think you and your father are doing the best you can under the circumstances.

(((hugs))) and support to you and your family during this time.

Oh, dear, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom! I have to admit, I think it is kindest for your Mom to not know about your sister....*sigh* Really, really hate this disease.

Your whole family will be in my thoughts and prayers!

I too am sorry you are going through this. Please know that even though we don't know each other in the regular way, we here all care very much. Be kind to yourself during this difficult time. I pray you have all the support you need right now. Hugs.
