Dd's comment about my date
 

So Friday I went out with an awesome guy. He has a daughter who is the same age as mine. We share similar religios beliefs. He doesn't drink, smoke or do drugs and works as a nurse. He has been widowed for a couple of years. We brought flowers and we had dinner and a movie.

Since I haven't really dated since expand except for one bad experience that I didn't tell dd (11) about, she was a little nervous for me. She asked if she could be there when he came to pick me up.

He came to the door and I introduced him. She was polite and after saying hello she left and went to my sister's house next door.

When my sister asked, "what did you think?" She replied


"We'll he's bald, but he did appear to be sober."

Now THAT is just precious:)

What a sweet girl you have. I think it is great that she can and does acknowledge sober. You've done a good job mama. How was the date? :)

I wondered!

So pleasant. I forgot what it felt like to have doors opened, compliments, and to spend time with someone who actually listened to what I said.

Going slow, but planning for another next weekend:)
