I think you just click on that little arrow at the top bar next to Chat and click enter chat room. I did it once and I don't recall doing anything else.

I must have already had that on my computer. If you go under the FAQ at the top bar there is one for CHAT and has all the details.
Good luck! One was organized ahead of time once so we (friends and family) went there at an agreed upon time. It was nice.
