I've always seen the three C's here, but I just ran across the Seven C's on another site meant for COAs:

I didn't Cause it.
I can't Cure it.
I can't Control it.
I can Care for myself
By Communicating my feelings,
Making healthy Choices, and
By Celebrating myself.

I love that. There is a little plot of land not far from me called the "7 C's Ranch". Never knew what it meant but now makes me wonder if there is a story behind that name.

I love it too florence...we get so caught up in trying to control the alcoholic that we stop caring for our own mental health, at least that is what I did...and I became very sick indeed.
Caring for you...exactly what will help since I know you are going through a tough time right now! If I could send you strength I would, supporting you on your journey on these threads is all I can do, I am thinking of you. My separation was a hard time to get through.
