The weekend before he left the oven stopped working. He didn't bother looking at it.

Today I decided to Google fuses. I turned off the power and pulled out fuses, turned the power back on, back off etc. Eventually I worked out that the fuse labelled "oven" was the right fuse I took the oven fuse to the hardware store. Old man working there sold me a more modern fuse suited for ovens.

Came home, put the fuse in AND MY OVEN WORKED AGAIN!

I've also been cleaning like a woman possessed. Found an old tropical fish tank in the piles of crap he left here and have spent most of today setting it up. I've got water and gravel in it and the filter and heater going. Now to wait a few days until the levels are all proper and we can put some fish in it.
