It's official...!

I'm a homeowner, keys in hand! On the downside, abf was angsty last night (no drinking at least) but took the day off work today and hasn't responded to my "how's your day going" text. Not a good sign. Oh well, if we have to sleep on the floor in the new house tonight we will (smart mama put sleeping bags in the trunk just in case)- I don't have to spend another night worrying about his tirades. It feels good to finally be moving forward!

Fingers crossed he's just taking a nap or something. I know he's struggling with the drinking more right now (or maybe that's just his excuse, I don't know really) because of the move. He hates change and this boundaries thing has him flustered too. I'm just going to do what I have to do and keep praying for all of us.

Jen

I hate being right sometimes. Abf had an all day bender yesterday, but was at least passed out by the time we got home so no drama. Today he is weepy and clingy but supportive and helpful. He knew, and I keep reminding him, that living here was always just a temporary thing. I'm torn between being happy about this house and worried for him..I know I can't "fix" him but we were friends for 5+ years before starting a relationship and discovering this hidden side to him. Pray, pray, pray...

Congratulations on your new home. Hopefully you are moving now and can put some distance between your family and his drunken tirades. That is a terribly unhealthy situation to be in.

Prayers for peace,
~T
