Another happy update! :)
Hello, friends! I wanted to check in and share some happiness and hope! MY RABF (by the way, I *love* being able to use that R now!) hit his 60-day sober mark (60 days longer than ever!) and is going strong! I'm truly amazed by the dedication he has shown in attending meetings, keeping in touch with his sponsor (whom he really likes), etc. I'm also amazed by the changes in him -- he seems much happier, peaceful, etc!
By no means do I kid myself thinking everything is perfect now! There is a lot of work ahead! For both of us -- myself included. I'm seeing now how many things *WEREN'T* because of his drinking. But because of *my* issues too. It's been quite a growing, learning experience (one I'm furthering with my therapist and my faith).
I just wanted to share some joy and encouragement. Change can happen! Things can get better! There is hope!
