Smile Codie Theme Song?

This song has been running through my head the last few days - it seriously should be the codependent theme song. Sia's not a well-known artist, but she's fabulous (great voice, amazing song writing skills). Just figured I'd share. I think we can all see a little of ourselves in this song.

Enjoy!

Mine is "Speechless" by Lady Gaga. The closing line of the song says "Some men may follow me, but you choose death and company", which is exactly what I'm going through.

I love this video!! She is not only incredibly talented, but clever and hilarious too!

Thanks for this I just looked up the lyrics. Yep, I think I'm gonna be singing this to myself. Very empowering!! I need something to break the spell in my head

"I Want To Be Sedated."

Seriously...I can't think of anything other than a horse tranquilizer and a stun gun that will make my mind and thoughts shut up!

Fool for your loving, by WhiteSnake

" I took all the heartache and turned it to shame
Now I'm movin', movin' on and I ain't taking the blame"

"I'm so tired of trying, I always end up crying
A fool for your loving no more, I'll be a fool for your loving no more
I'm tired of hiding my feelings, you left me lonely too long
I gave my heart and you tore it apart
Oh, baby you done me wrong"

I don't who wrote those lyrics, but he's been where I have.

Boston has a few songs that feel empowering to me.

Don't Look Back

and right now, the lyrics running through my mind come from Peace of Mind

I understand about indecision
and I don't care if I get behind
People living in competition
All I want is to have my Peace of Mind.

Meredith I LOVE Don't Look Back and play it often. Sounds silly...I hate Miley Cyrus but her song The Climb is a good one too. So many songs so little time!

Going back to "75", Utopia (Todd Rundgren),

"The Wheel"

Some people say life's like a merry-go-round
I think it's more like a ferris wheel
'Cause sometimes you're up, sometimes you're down
Sometimes you just don't know what to feel

And just when you think you've got the game figured out
And you say you've had enough
The mysterious mad man with his hand on the lever
Don't seem to never ever want to let you off

You can't get off this wheel of karma
You can't stop the hands of time

Now I have a friend, I might have a few
Sometimes I think they just don't care
But I think sometimes they think the same thing of me, yeah
You might say we've got a problem there

You know we all got this habit
We like to talk too much
And that always tends to slow you down
But we never change direction
We just keep going round and round and round and round

And let me off this wheel of karma
Let me stop the hands of time

Seems like I've been around so many places
And I must have learned a lot of things
And although I ain't yet come up with a so-called answer
At least I think I finally learned how to sing

And there's just a few things I ain't got sorted out
Sometimes they make my brain get sore
Like if kids were left of all devices
Would they ever come up with a thing like war

Let us off this wheel of karma
Let us stop the hands of time

LOL. Country Music is made for codies: "I've got tears in my ears from lyin' in bed crying my heart out over you." "Drop kick me Jesus over the goal post of life"
