Cool OT Buying my own apartment YAY!!

I found an apartment that I liked and under the price range I had, I sign the contract on Monday.

I am very very happy !!!!!

I have been renting for 8 years and I won't put up with alcoholics anymore!! and hopefully not noisy neighbors, when I went it was quite relaxed.

Finally, lasting peace *****o!!

(((TC)) - OMG, that is AWESOME!! As someone who has followed your journey, I am SOOO happy for you and pray that one day I will be able to do the same, to get away from dysfunction junction that I live in. Thank you, for you have given me hope on a night when I am throwing a pity party but I will be okay because YOU and others here inspire me.

Love, hugs, and prayers,

Amy

So do tell - what is it like?

And I don't know if you get HGTV in your neck of the woods but I get a lot of ideas there and from their website.

Thanks friends, well the apartment is on the top floor (4th floor), and has a taller ceiling, I liked that... it is small but cozy. Apparently it has a small garden and hopefully the cats can roam there...

It is is a more or less good area, the good news is that I could go back to the gym I was going to previously, the Pilates class was helpful and maybe I can go back.

I am now looking for paint, choosing which green I like.. I read on that HGTV site that you have to think of a "mood", I would like to think "eco", organic, yoga, chill out... relaxation,

I am getting excited, a bit worried about the money but instead of worrying I will just update my resume and start knocking doors. Hopefully HP prevents me from starving :S lately I am afraid of "not having enough"...

Fortunately I am now more humble and asked my sister, if I needed some help, if she was willing to lend me money and she just said yes.

PS The first job I am asking for is a two week stay at Los Cabos beach supporting a Tourism congress :S cross fingers so they accept me and I get to
1 earn a buck
2 spend a weekend sunbathing

Exciting! You have so many good things going on right now, TC.

I found I was drawn to paint color names - like "Peace" and "Calm Waters". LOL! I think it reflects my state of mind right now, too.

I never have "enough" money...found its easier to accept it for now then worry about not having enough. Somehow, it all seems to work out regardless! ; )

(((TC))) - though I am still living "at home" with dad/stepmom, you give me a glimpse of what I can accomplish, and I totally appreciate it

Love, hugs, and prayers,

Amy

If you haven't found them already - I get a lot of ideas from Pinterest and Etsy.

As a matter of fact, I have a line of projects in my garage for this weekend, all "borrowed" from the two websites. And the supplies I find at garage sales and thrift stores, so it fits my budget perfectly. And keeps my mind occupied. ; )

Can't wait to hear what you have come up with...!

How did I miss this? I am screaming, hollering and jumping up and down inside.

for paint colors, take a photo of the first room you want to paint.

Go to Sherwin-Williams Paints, Stains, Supplies and Coating Solutions

there you can load your photo and try out thousands of colors to see how they would look.
best with your furniture you want to use in it, so you can see how it all looks together.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohh LIVE Thanks!! I just read your last post! thanks all for being glad for me.

They called me today saying there were some issues, the State claims the building is modern, and it was built 20 years ago LOL.. all just so they can charge more... the lawyer is saying I need to pay another 300 USD.. before I would have got angry but what can I do? the specific county is worth more, in general, talking about real estate.. so I said yes and will need to bring the money on Monday.

The owner is painting it apple green!! and the kitchen will be beige (grayish..)

OMG it might suck or it might rock lol but I prefered to give it a try instead of asking for the typical boring pale yellow!!!!!!!!! Live thanks for the link! I have not even thought about furniture...

For now I am still in the same apartment, trying to clean up and pack, huge task but I am happy. Excited about setting the new place up
