has anyone else found that certain drinks cause your partner to act differently?

my dh can't drink spirts, strong lager, strong wine or strong cider. all these make him go into a nasty drunk.

Haha. Any drink does it for my dad. Vodka, beer, cooking wine, doesn't matter. They make him ugly.

My alcoholic wasn't a partner, he was my brother, but any kind of alcoholic drink made him behave differently, it didn't need to be 'strong' he just needed to get enough of it. He was rarely 'nasty drunk' though, he was everyone's best friend

Yes, with both my Dad and my x.

If my dad drank scotch he became a monster.

Bailey's did it for my ex.

Beer and lager was usually my choice but when I drank vodka my wife always said I was an A hole. Never cared for any other liquor. My best friend is an arrogant putz when drinking any kind of liquor but with beer he was tolerable

My A used to drink beer, wine, rum or vodka. I didn't notice any difference-he got drunk and behaved like a drunk on all of them. Now he only drinks the cheap local cane liquor. The only thing different is that now he's sick all the time in addition to being drunk. But that's probably because his drinking has increased so much.

That was one of the early clues that his drinking was becoming a real problem-the cooking sherry started to disappear.

Tilt, high caffine beer...made him crazy.

Didn't matter, alcohol of any kind had the same effect. The only difference was it would take him longer to get drunk with wine or beer.

I think the worst one for my ex was cheap brandy.
It would get him to angry and obnoxious real quick.
Beer it was just a little slower.

Vodka, gin.

Beer could keep him from a blackout, but vodka was a sure blackout
