Hospital Update
 

So he had a nasty GI bleed that was due to Motrin abuse. He was taking 6-8 a day to alleviate hip pain. They went in and repaired it. Now they are keeping an eye on his blood levels to determine if all the bleeding has stopped. They had not so they are going back in and doing a colonoscopy as well just to make sure. Hmmm. The kids have been to see him the past 2 days. My daughter had to drop off some tax papers he needed to sign. He will be there for the next few days. He has been told that he needs to stop smoking and stop drinking but he has not initiated any rehab even though it has been offered to him.
I am sorry for his troubles. I really am. However there is a part of me that feels like this is karma at work. Its not the healthy part of me I know. Just the part that feels like I got a raw deal in this whole scenario. Time to go to a few more meetings and do some readings.
