Checking in

Hi there. I haven't posted in a while. Recap: In my 30s, have an ABF (we do not live together, no kids) and we've had our definitely ups and downs. My ABF tried AA briefly but never committed (same with me and Alanon, although I do regularly see a therapist, which is more my speed at the moment). I know he is still drinking, although he does not drink when he is around me. I'm doing my best to detach with mixed success.

I haven't been as focused on this relationship/his drinking lately, as I've had family issues take center stage. My father had bypass surgery. And my mother, who has been sick from cancer and treatments, also took a turn for the worse around the same time. It's been a tough time, although everyone seems to be doing better at the moment.

I just wanted to say hello because I haven't posted much lately. Wishing everyone a Happy Easter/Happy Passover/Happy Spring, etc.
